Message Delivery Failures

If your messages are not being delivered, the issue could be on Chatofy's side, Meta's infrastructure, or the recipient's device. Here's how to diagnose and resolve delivery problems.

Common Causes

Recipient Opted Out

If the recipient has blocked your number or opted out of receiving messages, Meta will not deliver your message. Check if the contact has a valid opt-in status.

Invalid Phone Number

Ensure the phone number is in international format (e.g., +1XXXXXXXXXX). Numbers without country codes or with incorrect formatting will fail.

24-Hour Window Expired

Free-form messages can only be sent within 24 hours of the customer's last message. After 24 hours, you must use an approved template to re-engage.

Template Not Approved

If you're sending a template message that hasn't been approved by Meta, or the approved template has been modified, delivery will fail.

Diagnostic Steps

  1. Check the campaign analytics for failure reasons
  2. Verify the contact's phone number format in the CRM
  3. Check if the recipient is on a different WhatsApp number
  4. Ensure your WABA quality rating is not restricted
  5. Check the Meta API logs (Admin → Meta Diagnostics)
