Creating Your First Campaign
Campaigns allow you to send bulk WhatsApp messages to your contacts using pre-approved message templates. Chatofy's campaign engine uses a two-stage queue system for reliable delivery at scale.
Step 1: Prerequisites
- At least one approved WhatsApp message template
- Contacts with valid phone numbers in your directory
- Sufficient plan quota for the number of messages you plan to send
Step 2: Create a Campaign
- Navigate to Campaigns from the sidebar
- Click "Create Campaign"
- Enter a campaign name and select your verified WhatsApp sender phone number
- Select the approved WhatsApp message template to use
- Media Header Attachment: If your selected template contains an
IMAGE,VIDEO, orDOCUMENTheader, Chatofy will auto-populate the template's approved sample media. You can also upload a custom campaign media file (JPG/PNG up to 5MB, MP4 up to 16MB, PDF up to 50MB) or provide a public HTTPS URL. For PDF documents, you may specify a custom recipient-facing filename. - Template Variable Mapping: Map any dynamic text placeholders (
{{1}},{{2}}) to contact fields or enter custom static text. - Choose your target audience (all contacts, specific tags, or retargeting previous broadcast outcomes)
- Set the schedule (send immediately or select a future date and time in IST)
Step 3: Review and Launch
Review the campaign summary showing the number of recipients, template preview, and scheduled time. Campaigns are created in Draft status, giving you a chance to review before sending. Click "Send" to queue the campaign for delivery.
